RADIKALISME POLITIK KELAS MENENGAH MUSLIM INDONESIA PASCA REFORMASI
Abstract
Abstract: Political Radicalism of Indonesian Muslim Middle Class in the Reformation Era. This paper attempts to study the emergence of uncivil society groups in Indonesia. The uncivil society itself can be interpreted as a form of civil society groups that perform actions that are contrary to democracy. The problem of the uncivil society is an excess of the transitional process and the imperfect consolidation of democracy. As such, it leads to the articulation process of interest then become the arena of competition with each other. The implication then is the strengthening of the behavior of violence that is addressed for the achievement of an interest. In addition, other crucial problems encountered in civil society are the fragmentation of ideology, identity, as well as different interests so as to impress the formation of civil society more elitist. So the emergence of uncivil society is the tip of the iceberg to the process of deepening democracy that has not been completely over in the realm of society.
